As the principal of GOAL Academy I am honored with the opportunity to serve the "at-risk" students of Bradley County Schools.  At GOAL Academy we have a team of staff that find serving our students as not only what we do for a job but we see this opportunity as a true calling and the reason why we were put on this earth.

My background has been one of working with at-risk students for since my origination.  I graduated high school in North Carolina and began my collegiate time at Elon University in North Carolina.  During my collegiate career I moved to Cleveland Tennessee and began working at Horizon Alternative School as a teacher assistant in the classroom.  While working as a assistant, I also continued working on my Special Education Degree at Lee University.  Upon completing my undergraduate degree in Special Education I began working at Ocoee Middle School as a case manager and co-teacher with 8th grade special education students.  I worked at Ocoee Middle for two years and then transferred within the school system to Walker Valley High School where I continued working with students with special/behavioral needs.  I worked one year at Walker Valley in the classroom and then worked two years in a administrative role on staff at Walker Valley.  After completing my graduate degree in School Leadership from Tennessee Technological University I was given the opportunity to transfer within the system again to what is no known as GOAL Academy.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to start GOAL Academy from its foundation and build this program to the success that it has become today.  I am pleased to have this program that is accessible to all students in the Bradley County School System as an opportunity to better themselves in a non-traditional way.

We have just completed our 5th year of existence and have continued to see growth both in our students annually as well as the staff that serve GOAL Academy.  I am personally blessed with this opportunity and look forward to what the future holds as we continue to forge new and innovative ways of educating at-risk students.
